There are 3 types of people who are awake at 4 am in Vegas. The ones on the tail end of their bender from the night before. The bleary eyed parents whose kids can't adjust to the time change and are up hours before the damn sun. And the casino employees catering to the previous two categories.
Guess which of these lucky people I am?
Andrew continues to be unwilling to sleep in his crib in a hotel...which means that for the past 4 days I have the distinct pleasure of having to sleep in the same bed as him. This would be fine if he actually slept. Instead, all night long he ran a freaking marathon, alternating between kicking me in the back and head.
And while I'm awake trying to entertain the munchkin in our room because there's NOTHING open at 4 am other than the bars and tables - neither of which I'm going to partake in with a cranky 19 month old - and trying to work because my being on vacation means nothing to the people I work for, hubby's laying in bed snoring away.
I need a damn vacation to recover from this fucking vacation.

Oh jaime you poor thing hah.
Oh poor you!I know how you must feel and sleep deprivation isn't good at all.I hope it will be better soon.
A working vacay?? No no no. I hate it when hubs does that,so I'll hate it when you do that too. You're supposed to relax! I think some of the casinos offer babysitting... you should see about doing that and go have a fun, relaxing evening with your hubs. And don't forget to have some fun too!!
Girlfriend, next time, you leave the baby with the grandparents! Hello! That just sucks, man! Hope you can catch up on some of that sleep!
Hubs needs to take the boy for a bit so that you can rest!
Hey Anne Rice! You coming home soon? HA!
I just got back from my Vegas trip. I however went without children. It was more enjoyable that way. I feel for you. And why did you have to work while on vacation and why didnt you kick "hubs" and made him get up to help you???
I think you need a vacation from hubby and son. Come on over to my house and I'll spoil you. Lots of sun, food and quiet.
boy do you bring back memories. my youngest had to sleep in bed with me, up against my body with his head in my armpit, for the first five months of his life. he couldn't settle down any other way. I was always afraid of rolling over on him so I slept on my back never really sleeping. as for vacationing with babies, toddlers, etc., it ain't no vacation unless you're at the beach or somewhere completely casual and even then it's hard. well, this too will pass...some day.
Are you kidding me? You poor thing. If you have to work, at least hubby could do the night duty at the hotel. Please, hubby, help a lawyer out!
My husband can also sleep through anything!! I am usually in the bathroom with the light on reading a book. I do not do hotels very well at all. And kids....
I agree they lie all over the bed diagonal, arm across your face,... been there too!!
