It's Wednesday and Otin is trying to inspire the poet in all of us with his Rhyming Wednesday. You won't see any original stuff here... Today's lifted words are from Langston Hughes. Here's his poem "Dreams":
Hold fast to dreams
for if dreams die
life is a broken-winged bird
that cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
for when dreams go
life is a barren field
frozen with snow.

There are certain dreams that I know will remain dreams, but I hold onto them anyway!
Very nice. Not dark like Otin's suicide poem.
I have been trying to decide on what I want to do when I finally get the kids out. I guess this is what I am currently dreaming about.
I love my kids. But... they take all of your time.
I really like it!Thanks for posting it!
I've had some pretty screwy dreams lately. I like the poem!
Too true...dreaming is a good thing! Just don't fall down any holes while you are day dreaming.
Dreams... I think I've been eating too much before bed lately... and dreaming too much means I'm not sleeping well... so I'll do with a few more of the metaphorical dreams and a few less of the actual... if you catch my drift.
Waah, it's too dark! LOL! Dark is interesting! Dirty limericks are fun though!
Thanks for sharing Hughe's Dreams poem.
My students love him, and his books are always off the library shelves.
Arrrgh! I dream about catching the big bastard fish!
I like that poem! Very nice choice! :)
