WORK! I work too hard. But hopefully as you all are reading this, I'm relaxing by the pool sipping a girly umbrella drink. Or taking a long nap in the middle of the afternoon. Or getting a nice long massage. Mmm... that all sounds like heaven.
The Yankees' "maybe I will, maybe I won't play today attitude" - they're good. They're bad. They're ugly. They had unlimited funds at their disposal - they should be the freaking best team money can buy! And yet we can't buy a win against the Red Sox.
Jon and Kate! I've never been into that show. Ever. But I'm so sick of hearing about them, the total cluster fuck they've made of their lives, the damage their kids will inevitably suffer when they get older and the divorce of the tv couple.
Michael freaking Jackson. I can't believe the media coverage this guy is receiving. Yes, he died. I don't want to sound totally callous - but it's not like the guy was the pope. Or a president. He was just a singer, one with a very questionable personal life. Come to think of it - I also am sick of all the Michael Jackson jokes. Let the poor man rest in peace.
What does this post have to do with this week's theme of funky? Well, nothing really...unless you consider this post a funky interpretation of the theme.
Not working for you? Well...even lawyers need to break the rules sometimes ;)

Im sick of the MJ stuff too.
Im sick of the weather most of all, that pretty much determines my mood.
Now your cookin'! Love the Jersey attitude! haha! enjoy your day!
I keep singing "I'm bad" in my head but I keep substituting "dead for the word "bad", does that make me crazy? haha!
You're in a 'funk' so it works perfectly.
What Baino said. And I agree on the whole M.J. thing. ENOUGH ALREADY!! let some of the others who have passed on have some of the spotlight( so to speak )What,8 in the last two weeks?
I have become completely obsessed with Jon and Kate. I can't turn away. They are destroying my life as well as their own.
Agree with ya on the Yankees (RED SOX FAN HERE) and Jon & Kate need to end that show and focus for real on their family.
As for MJ, he was a big deal back in the 80s, and to many of fans. But I think the media is just jumping on it all as THE BIG STORY of the moment. Sad, really, how his life played out. Could have been so much better. Ah well.
L.I.M.
I agree with work, MJ and Jon and Kate. There has to be more interesting and appealing stuff to cover!
definitely funky...afraid my list would run long so i will just agree. hope your day burns away the funky-ness!
No...works for me :)
Happy...funky TT!
xoxo
Fruity drinks are NOT girly...I love them...
I understand the funk you are in. I think the only way to stop the madness is to boycott the TV - or at least change the channel. I've decided not even to mention any of those people by name again.
I'm having a girly umbrella drink right now. I will take a sip for you. Or maybe a gulp or two?!?
I'm too doped up (legally), so I can't have any alcohol... not even fruity drinks!
I love the ranting. Go, go, go.
Hi Jaime: I like to kvetch so here are my comments on your comments...
Yankees: well, seeing as I live in Red Sox land, all I can say is "Ha Ha" (in the voice of the JD on THE SIMPSONS). Steinbrenner is an asshole control freak and it's time for an ass kickin'. Besides, my bets are pinned on Joe Torre's move to LA and my home team, the Dodgers.
Jon & Kate: to be truthful, I never heard of them until the tabloids predicted their divorce. Then I picked up one to find out. Then I watched a couple of shows. How dreary. Those poor children. What is wrong with those two?
MJ: You may be too young to remember but when Elvis died, it was a circus for months. Hell, it's still a circus down at Graceland. Jackson will be bigger in death than in life as are all major artists. You heard he has the top 3 selling albums this week and they're re-issues. It's like Potter said to George Bailey,
"You're worth more dead than alive."
Thanks for a very entertaining post that inspired me to write more than "nice photo".
