Is a picture really worth a thousand words? Can a photo adequately convey an emotion? Mama Kat's assignment this week was to define goodness, joy, sorrow and anger through photos:

Goodness. This was one of Andrew's first pictures. There's nothing more good, more perfect, more wonderful than this little guy. Yeah, I'm totally biased. I don't care...he's amazing. I fell in love with this little guy the second I heard he bit the doctor's finger as she was delivering him.

Joy. This was the best part of my vacation to Florida. Andrew could spend all day, every day outside. Fortunately, the weather cooperated with him. He had the best time playing on the beach, running in the sand, splashing in the water and chasing the sea gulls. He was also picking up girls - with remarkable success. (I'm in such trouble when he gets older!) But he expression on his face as he ran around the beach was one of pure joy.

Sorrow. This is my little guy last November while he was in the hospital. He was miserable. We were miserable and freaked. It still makes me cry looking at the shots of him in his little hospital gown and hooked up to the tubes.

Anger. First he was pissed because he couldn't climb into the box (which contained a very cool Radio Flyer rocket that he promptly ignored). Then he was angry because people weren't looking at him while he tried to command the action going on around him from his position in the box. And finally, he was LIVID when we tried to remove him from box mission control.

I love how photos can instantly bring you right back to the exact feelings you had when taking the photo. Some songs do that to me too. Your son is a doll and the photo of him in the hospital made me cringe because I felt so bad..
He is so cute! I almost missed this podt.
great pairings....and what a cutie patootie!
Wow, your son is very cute! I like seeing different expressions of him in the images you shared with us! Great matching to the words :)

Your photos are so cute. Everytime I visit your blog from Mama kat's, I get that song stuck in my head. Each time I know I'm going to get it stuck in there but I read the header anyway.
He's a pretty cute guy, I must say.
I love all the photos and his different moods. Over from Kat's!
